Executive Committee
Handle business on behalf of board
Evaluate CEO
Perform annual board self-assessment

Human Reasource Committee
Review all personnel policies before recommending approval by full board (annual review)
Review R & R plan for administrative & clinical staff, and recommend board approval
Assure that wage/salary scales & fringe benefits are appropriate & keep pace
Annually review position descriptions
Assure appropriate opportunities for staff/board training
Plan annual staff/board get-together

Finance Committee
Review & recommend approval of annual budget
Establish center financial priorities
Review determination of eligibility for services, including criteria for partial payment schedules and fee schedule
Institute long-range financial planning
Establish purchasing policies & standards
Establish billing & collection system
Review monthly budget reports prior to board meetings

Nomination/Board Development Committee
Develop slate of board nominees and slate of officers
Survey board members to determine training needs; plan for mini—trainings at board meetings & other opportunities
 
Quality Assurance Committee
Assure CEO employs a competent, well-qualified Medical Director who supervises the rest of the clinical staff
Assure that principles of quality health care practice are developed (clinical policies & procedures)
Assure that an internal QA program is developed & that summaries of QA audits are shared with the Committee
Assure that appropriate risk management policies are in place (professional liability, emergency procedures (e.g.., crash cart), fire drills, incidence reporting etc.)
Review reports on patient grievances, as appropriate and review annual patient satisfaction results prior to presenting

Community/Public Relations
Review documents intended for public, e.g., clinic brochures, flyers, etc.
Assure that appropriate media connections are in place
Oversee fundraising activities
 Assist in planning community events, e.g., clinic/patient get-togethers, health fairs, open houses, an so on.
