Education
Prenatal, Childbirth, and Comenzando Bien classes are offered on a
continuing basis in our facility. These classes are taught by a Family
Nutrition Advisor (FNA) from the Purdue Extension Expanded Food and
Nutrition Education Program. The classes include proper nutrition and
weight gain, fetal development , health lifestyle choices, feeding the
infant, and oral health for mother and baby. Incentive gifts are given at
graduation from the classes. Individual instruction is also available for
other concerns.

Birth
You will determine which hospital
you prefer for the delivery. At a certain point near the time for delivery,
you may be referred to a delivering obstetrician (or midwife, if you prefer),
and will be seen by that provider for a few visits prior to the birth.
POSTPARTUM CARE
You will return to MCCHC for your postpartum visit and any additional
care you may need. This will ensure that you receive the best care possible
since the providers will be familiar with you and you health care needs.
